Choir Rehearsals
Chancel Choir
meets on Wednesdays at 7:15 p.m. in the sanctuary.
Youth Choir
meets on Sundays at 4:30 p.m. in the Lighthouse.
Evening Bells
meets on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.
in the Music Minister's office.
There are a number of choirs which lead our congregation in worship throughout the church year.
Chancel Choir
This is our "sanctuary" 4-part choir that sings in worship every Sunday during the 10:40 service. A wide variety of anthems are sung, as well as three special services (cantatas, musicals or concerts) during the year. Past works include; Handel's Messiah, Devotions and A Cappella Carols, Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir "Live Again", A Concert of John Rutter Music, and many others. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 7:15 from August to April, and at 7:00 in May and June. There are no rehearsals in July. Fellowship opportunities happen several times during the year.
Praise Team
Praise Team is the ensemble that leads congregational singing at our 8:30 worship service. Their primary focus is on congregational singing of praise and worship music. Many Praise Team members are also involved in the Chancel Choir. Rehearsal times vary from season to season.
Youth Choir
Any youth in grades 7-12 has an incredible opportunity to be a part of the CPC Youth Choir. The fall/winter season is typically spent on anthems that are presented about once a month in worship. The rest of the year is spent preparing a musical that goes "on the road." Youth Choir tours have taken the choir to places such as Tampa, Atlanta, Chicago, Louisville, Dallas, Panama City Beach, Minneapolis, and lots of other places. This is one of CPC's biggest ministry events of the year. Rehearsals are Sunday afternoons at 4:30 from August to March.

The Proclaimers
This choir, for young people in grades 4-6, is part of our LOGOS ministry on Wednesdays during the school year. Their rehearsal time is 4:45. They sing in worship once a month from September to March and usually present at least one musical at our Lighthouse each year.
God's Kids Choir
This choir, for grades 1-3, is also a part of CPC's LOGOS ministry. They meet Wednesdays at 4:00 and sing in worship once a month. God's Kids Choir usually presents one musical per year.
Handbell Choir
What a deal! This is a chance to play an instrument that never goes out of tune! The Handbell Choir meets Wednesday evenings at 6:30 during the school year. They play music that is easy to medium in difficulty level. No experience is required, just a desire to ring for the Lord!
Handbell Ensembles
Our advanced ringers have formed bell quartets and quintets that rehearse at various daytime hours. They ring music that is specifically arranged for small groups, yet they still use three octaves.
